We’re not much for Valentine’s day at the ol’ B household.  We recognize that it is a hallmark holiday and we don’t need a ‘special’ day to tell everyone we know how much we love them because we do that every day.  That being said, it’s a little different now with a child in the mix.  We did make it a point to go out together that day – it was just a gorgeous day, one that makes me happy to live in Florida for a change.

United Arts of Central Florida had its Arts Fest this past week with loads of free things to see and do.  The Orlando Museum of Art was free admission on the 14th so we jumped at the chance.  Slung Abi up in her sling and we hit the exhibition halls.  There was a super cool exhibition that included lots of glass and mirrors…primo stuff for a baby.  She loved it.

We hit Loch Haven Park right next door next and relaxed in the beautiful day.

  2. Thank you Courtney. What a great idea. I sincerely hope you will keep posting your experiences.

We had a friend, the couple, really, that took our wedding pictures in N.Y. who at Christmas every year would send a large Post Card of themselves depicting one of the nicer sites they had been to during the year and filling us in on most of their activities.

That was great. We kept in touch with them for many years; so many that our “mail communication” kept us together thru the lives of two or three of their dogs. (I recall one was with a picture of their dog who was on the mend after having suffered a broken leg.)

Unfortunately, (our fault and to our big regret now) when we moved to Florida we lost contact.

Yours will be a Diary of events to marvel at. And to think you will very often have comments from me. Good thing there is a “delete” feature.

OK, I’ll now move on to your other musings.
